The Bristol anarcha-feminist group
The Bristol anarcha-feminist group meets twice a month. Meetings are held at the Smiling Chair, 40 Stokes Croft. We’re a women-only group. We’re not interested in policing anyone’s gender; we’re interested in working with people who identify &/or are identified as women.
Fawcett is a national organisation that campaigns for equality between women and men in the UK on pay, pensions, poverty, justice and politics. Our vision is of a society where women and men are equal partners in the home, at work and in public life.
Bristol Feminist Network
A community group of women and men from the Bristol and area who are interested in discussing feminist ideas, who believe in the importance of women’s liberation, and who actively campaign on issues of gender inequality and oppression.
The Bristol University Feminist Society
The Bristol University Feminist Society was founded in 2009 with the aim of raising awareness of, and campaigning against, gender inequality both within and outside the University. The society sees feminism as a part of a wider social justice movement to end all forms of oppression.
Avon Federation of Women’s Institutes
The Federation organises many events during the year. These include outings to places of interest, evenings with well known personalities and get togethers such as Presidents’ Evenings and Speakers Corners.
