We Are Warriors
1st December - 16th DecemberFree
A REFUSAL TO BE SILENT. FOR ALL THOSE WHO WILL FOLLOW.
We Are Warriors is a sound and light installation created by Helen Cole with over 100 women and girls from Bristol. It is the final event in the Bristol Women’s Voice Deeds Not Words programme, which was funded by the Government Equalities Office to commemorate 100 years since the first votes for women in the U.K.
In Autumn 2018, 120 women and girls aged 8 to 85 from across Bristol raised their voices. In tribute to those who have gone before them and calling out to empower future generations in the fight for women’s equality.
Experience their collective sound at Arnolfini from 1 – 16 December.
Join the Light Makers to put together a light to add to the evolving installation. Each light represents a woman. Together they burn bright.
