Women of Lawrence Hill

About the project

Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone was set up in 2012 and aims to attract 17,000 jobs by 2037 focusing on hi-tech, creative and digital, low carbon and professional services. The zone is one of the biggest new developments in the UK. You can find more information here on the TQEZ website.

Women of Lawrence Hill: Growing Engaging Empowering was set up to ensure that women’s voices are heard by those developing the area so that women from the local area can find work in the new zone. BWV interviewed 100 local women with the help of 6  researchers and put together a film which is available above. Our research will be shared with the council and taken forward by the Women’s Commission’s Women’s Budget Group. The full report will be available on our website in early 2019.
