BECOME A MEMBER
Our membership is free and open to any woman who lives, works or studies in Bristol and agrees with our mission, vision and to act in accordance with our values.
Our membership is also open to non-binary people who may wish to access our service if they feel comfortable doing so (understanding that they may be ‘read’ as women) and feel that our work is relevant to their experience.
Bristol Women’s Voice understands that people join us for many reasons, and we value their contribution, commitment and participation. A core purpose of Bristol Women’s Voice is to bring women into connection with us and with each other.
As an intersectional feminist organisation, one of our values is inclusion, and it is Bristol Women’s Voice’s policy that the spaces we create are inclusive, safe and boundaried.
This does not mean that we expect all members to hold the same view on all issues as we do. However, to be a member, women must respect the way in which we choose to hold space.
We will not tolerate behaviour or comments that are, or perceived to be, racist, homophobic, transphobic, ageist, disablist, sexist, misogynist, or discriminatory in any way towards any person or group of people. This includes, for example, racist microaggressions, deliberate misgendering and/or publicly questioning someone else’s right to be in the space.

By joining Bristol Women’s Voice as a member, you confirm that you have read and understand the membership criteria, mission and vision and adhere to our values when engaging with us or others at our events. We encourage you to familiarise yourself with our membership policy.
Note: It is not always necessary to be a member to attend our events, most of which are open to all women, some of which are open to broader groups of people – our International Women’s Day event for example.
We reserve the right remove membership from women acting against our values.
