We are looking for five performers who can offer 10–15 minutes of music or poetry for an upcoming women’s safety event. Each of the five selected performers will receive a token gesture fee of £30.
We are also keeping a number of shorter open-mic style slots for those who are newer to performing and would like a supportive platform to share their work.
Event date: TBC – currently looking at late January to early February.
If you would like to be considered for a 10–15 minute slot, please send examples of your work and a bit about why you’d like to be part of the event to: youngwomen@bristolwomensvoice.org.uk
If you would prefer a shorter platform slot, please email us with examples of your work – or, if you don’t have recordings or written pieces yet, a few words describing the kind of work you create and a bit about why you’d like to be part of the event.
We are seeking music and poetry that speak to the themes of the event:
women’s safety in public spaces and women’s empowerment.
Please feel free to share this call-out with anyone who may be interested, including organisations or individuals who support women.
