About this Event

Our research revealed that Bristol women continue to be disadvantaged in many areas of everyday life. At this event we will reflect on the stories shared by women who took part in the research and set out some suggestions for change. Additionally, we will hear from the Government Equalities Office on how they intend to take forward the learning from this project.

The City Listening Project Report draws attention to the multiple and intersecting barriers many women face in our city. These barriers are not new, and they are embedded in our city’s infrastructure and social systems. The Covid-19 pandemic has further deepened these inequalities and Bristol Women’s Voice has been researching how this is playing out across the city. The findings from this follow-on research will also be presented at this event.

The launch of this report marks the start of a conversation which Bristol Women’s Voice will be hosting through roundtable events over the following months. We invite anyone who wants to see change to be a part of these conversations.

The launch will be hosted on Zoom :
