Fundraising Comedy Night: Meet The Comedians Who Will Fill Your Night with Laughter

By Raisha Jesmin, Communications Assistant

Bristol Women’s Voice is holding a Fundraising Comedy Night to raise funds for its annual International Women’s Day celebration in 2026. On Tuesday 14 October, join us for a night filled with laughter and good vibes as we host a special comedy event to raise funds for a meaningful cause.

Every ticket sold will support our Big Give Match Funding Campaign (8 October – 15 October) and where every donation is doubled. We are aiming for £5,000 in individual donations to be match-funded by Big Give.

The event brings together talented comedians from all across the South West’s (and Wales) comedy and entertainment scene. Taking to the stage will be Abigail Myles, Brambles, Carly O’Connor, Dani Johns, Danielle Scott, Jeanie Vowles, and Madeline Fenell.

Abigail Myles

Abi Myles a 50-year-old trans woman who started their comedy journey in January 2025. To date she has played more than 80 gigs. She performed at Pride Cymru in June on the discovery stage and more recently Newport pride. Abi has just started running her own new artist nights to support and spotlight new comedians. As well as performing, Abi also regularly MCs at her own nights as well as other open mics.

‘Abi lights up any line up, is a solid performer and hysterical!!’

Brambles

With high energy, the occasional cheeky pun, and a whole bunch of fun anecdotes chucked in – Brambles has got ya back if you wanna have a laugh.

Carly O’Connor

Coming from the South Wales Valleys, Carly shares her stories about unhealthy obsession with vegetables, tales of marriage, parenthood and anything her friends have begged her not to tell anyone. Performing at pubs, clubs and theatres throughout Wales and the South of England, Carly is not to be missed.

Dani Johns

With an energetic mix of storytelling and serious oversharing, Dani is an instantly likeable act and a naturally engaging presence on stage. Described as a “pocket rocket of a comedian” with a sassy delivery that pulls audiences in, she’s all about finding the funny in life’s chaos – with just the right amount of cheek.

Danielle Scott

Danielle Scott is an actor, comedian and writer who has performed at Camden and Edinburgh Fringe with her autobiographical, one-woman dark comedy Sour Candi. When she’s not making comedy sketches or popping up in feature films, she’s crafting ridiculous characters.

‘Expect high energy, questionable wisdom, and at least one story you will be glad didn’t happen to you!’

Jeanie Vowles

Eccentric and offbeat, Jeanie Vowles is an Essex girl with a flair for the dramatic. Jeanie is also a Cornish Comedian of the Year Finalist 2025.

Madeline Fenell

Madeine is a middle aged, middle class, single mother telling stories from everyday life.

‘Relatable, honest and very amusing.’
