In a night of celebration, The West Women of the Year 2018 awards honoured the amazing achievements of women in our region. To open the evening on the 12th April, our chair Penny Gane, gave a speech addressing 100 years since some women gained the vote and the events across the city marking this centenary. She spoke of the incredible hard work women had undertaken to gain power and rights and called for 2018 to be a year of progress. In short, we cannot wait another 100 years for equality!
Women from all across the region celebrated the announcement of the winners on the night in the award categories of business, innovation, charity, lifetime achievement, BAME, and most influential.
