International Women’s Day 2022 – #BreakTheBiasBristol

Save the date and tell your friends!
Join Bristol Women’s Voice at City Hall between 10.30am and 4pm on Saturday 5th March for a free-to-attend fun, interesting and inspiring day of workshops and activities to celebrate International Women’s Day. This year’s theme is ‘Break the Bias’.

Bristol Women’s Voice has been standing up for women’s rights in Bristol for more than a decade. Come along to City Hall to find out how we are advancing equality for women in Bristol – from amplifying the voices of disabled women to breaking taboos around menopause and addressing the importance of bystander awareness in tackling misogyny. Come along to:

  • Celebrate women’s achievements
  • Find out how women like you can continue breaking the bias
  • Make your voice heard and tell us what matters to you, as we continue in our efforts to break the bias both now and for future generations of women
  • Join our movement. Every voice matters. Together, we can #BreakTheBiasBristol.

Download our full programme here.

The programme includes:

  • an intro to podcast-making with Sound Women South West
  • a self-defence class from Sister Courage
  • a therapeutic yoga class for sexual violence survivors from SARSAS
  • a panel on the Mayoral Referendum in partnership with Bristol Ideas.

Our event is open to everyone. There is a free creche available in two-hour slots throughout the day, which need to be booked in advance, and translators will be arranged where possible. Covid measures will be in place.

We would like to extend our thanks to First Bus Bristol for kindly providing 100 free mobile tickets to be used on the day. Email for more information.

This is an unticketed event but please let us know you’re coming by registering here. Any donations are also very much appreciated – thank you.

We look forward to seeing you there.
