SLEEC (Survivors Leading Essential Education & Change)

SLEEC do anti-violence work, mutual aid and create radical care spaces; built by those with lived experience.

We fight for those with lived-experience of rape, sexual assault and sexual violence to inform and influence all work on misogyny and rape culture, across the UK. Survivors must be platformed and centred, rather than tokenised or excluded.

We exist to find real ways to end male violence and misogyny on a national and international level. These problems are complex and messy and there are no simple answers, we need people unafraid to go deep.

We need men to take action. Male violence is an epidemic. Whilst it’s essential that survivors direct this work, responsibility has to shift onto men. We need new ways for men to be actively involved in dismantling the roots of male violence. We build spaces through education, conversation and research that prioritise men’s relationship to patriarchy and rape culture.
